NOW a day lot of the graduates and post graduates are wondering most of the times on which course they should go for. What are the pros & cons of joining a particular centre of CDAC. Here is a comprehensive information on how to enroll ourselves for a course in CDAC. The below discussion is based on my explorations and my own experience as i have worked for cdac for more than a year.

Although cdac does not guarantee any placement but you can grab many opportunities having a bit of idea about it.
1. CDAC HYDERABAD: The centre is known to have the best training environment for all type of courses. However, it is best known for DSSD based on the stats. CDAC HYDERABAD is the centre which organizes the common entrance test and is well known for its comprehensive training.
COURSE PREFERENCE: DSSD, DESD, DABC
PLACEMENT: 7/10
2. CDAC PUNE: The centre is known to have the most successful in attracting a large percentage of trainees each time, a very good option for electronics people. Placement record is much better as compared to bangalore and noida.
COURSE PREFERENCE : DESD, DABC, CDAD, CNSS
PLACEMENT : 8/10
3. CDAC BANGALORE: The centre is well known for its infrastructure and training facilites. CDAC BANGLORE is a good option for DESD as well as DAC.
COURSE PREFERENCE: DAC, DESD, DSSD
PLACEMENT : 7/10
CDAC NOIDA and CDAC MOHALI are the two more & good options but the three i have discussed are the most reputed both in terms of placement and training environment.
If your choice of course selection does not match with what i have given above, thats not an issue. Whatever i am posting is on a good exploration based on the previous records. I wish he best to you all regarding your courses.

My experience in brief:
1. CDAC is one of the top courses by government of India in post graduate courses
2. The certification has a very good reputation and has a remarkable place in the market
3. You should go for CDAC rather than sitting idle and wasting your time. A little sincerity in CDAC will definitely serve your purpose.
4. Placement is up to you and on the batch. If you are from a good lot of students, you will get more opportunties. Your performance in CDAC will also play a crucial role. So dont overlook the course while thinking about placements all the time.

i am confused between C-DAC Pune and C-DAC Bengalore, Sir can u please suggest me which is better between this two regarding the training and placement
I am vidyanshu narayan. I have got your mail-id from ur blog. I am a 2012 passed out fresher (10th 75%, 12th 55%, b.tech 74%). I have got cdac-hyderabad for PG-DSSD course. Will my year gap and 12th percentage be disadvantage for me to get placements or i'll get no placement ??. Should i take admission ??. I don't have any hope now, plz suggest me ....Can i get a good exposer to my career from thr ?

You can join DESD as it has good placements in pune. DASS is also a good choice but cant say about the placement regarding this.
I did MA in geography and i'm interested pgd in geoinformatics.as program is offered only in two campuses pune and noida.so which one will be better for me in terms of placement.faculty and infrastructure.
as i did MA in geography and i heard that companies preferred btech graduates so how much will it affect me at the time of placement.
Btech People are very less if we talk about geography and all.
there is no information about placement of pgdgi course in cdac website. can u please throw some light on this.
For getting into the CDAC R&D, the only thing you have to see is you performance in CDAC itseelf. I did work in CDAC hyd R&D for a year . My interview was not good but I got placed there just bcs of my good performance there and it was a nice experience working there. All the best!!

I want to restart my career nd thinking about DASDM as I was good nd interested in programming.

i just came across CDAC DASM course lately. I was not able to apply for this 29th may,2014 last date exam. I have good academic track wid 80% in Xth, 84% in XII n 77.10 in B.tech(I.T), 2012 batch but I donot hold effective work experience. I worked in a startup company for a year then quited due to sick work exp.
Is it worth in terms of placements for me to apply for this course? kindly suggest.

I did my btech in ECE( 2014 passed out) and from heart wanted to get in to my core. Does CDAC help me in getting into my core companies if i opt for vlsi or embeded courses. i have been doing a lot of research over to join C-DAC or not.I need to mention this.Your blog has given me great encouragment to join CDAC but I have got some negative Reviws on CDAC which is letting me to think again. would you support my idea of joining CDAC and comment regarding negative reviews.

Sir, I am a 2013 batch passout in ECE stream with an aggregate of 85%, in Xth 84% and in XIIth 81%. Despite being in ECE, I have a passion for programming and would like to join PG-DAC course, if i get a sutable rank hopefully.. Sir, What has left me in ambiguity is,as I came to know that my 1 year gap ( due to Gate Prep. + Family Problems), would affect my placements in Cdac ccpp, as most of the MNC's look for freshers.. I am very much worried regarding the eligibity criteria required for companies. It appears to me as if my last chance is also getting lost!.. Please help me or suggest something of what i can do.. Just go ahead. Don't overlook your good curriculum as well. You should go for it.
Only cdac centers are good? Means sunbeam guktekdi pune, and bangalores ATC are not good? Other ATC are not good ?

If we talk abt CDAC PUNE, PGDAC & PGDESD both are very good and even both are suitable to an EC guy.
Percentage of placement is almost above 90 to 95%. You must have a good understandings of C basics bcs its required for C-CAT also.

It as very good faculty .Almost all the students get placed here every year.
4. C-DAC Hyderabad
Rank 200-1000 (It depends on the course which you select)
C-DAC hyderabad is very good for the course PG-DESD.
PG-DESD course is in hyderbad is better than pune HQ as per the past feedback.It as very good placement record in hyd for PG-DESD course.Rank for PG-DESD is 1-300.
PG-DAC as no good placement record from few years.Rank for PG-DAC is 700-1600.
PG-DSSD course is good and many students get placed.Rank for PG-DSSD is 700-1200.
5. IACSD pune
Rank 800-2000 (It offers only one course PG-DAC)
In year 2012 its seats have been increase and it as 150 plus seats for dac course.
It as very good infra structure, good faculty mainly for JAVA and best faculty for DBT.
If you want to gain knowledge then this is the best place to land better than sunbeam pune ,but sunbeam is one step ahead during the placement.
6. C-DAC Mumbai
Rank 800-2000 (depends on course and institute)
It as got both negative as well as positive feedback.Before you plan to get into CDAC mumbai contact any passout students for the placement percentage.
7.C-DAC Chennai
There are also few seats offered by Cdac Chennai and its first come first serve.
Hope number of seats increase in future.

DESD is electronics based, deals with assembly whereas DSSD is based on drivers. Both are best two in terms of placements. Your interest can be the only factor to choose one of them. DESD PUne is best and DSSD HYDERABAD.
Sr I got 152 rank in A+B+C section and i want to do PG in DIVESD because i think by doing this i will have the opportunity to go in both type of companies(embeded systems and vlsi). But i dont know about this branch how it is different from both branches and how it would be beneficial to do PG in this branch as far as placement is conserned. So please guide me. And i also have 1 doubt that this branch is available in NOIDA only but as i have come to know about NOIDA center it is not that much good as hyderabad, Benglore, and Pune. So I am Confused should i go for some other branch VLSI or DESD, or I should stick to my decision
And i have a second choice also which is DVLSI So please tell me what is the scope and placement of DIVESD is right choice or not.. please guide me what shoul i do...

Here u can see DSSD then DVLSI and then DIVESD in descending order of placements. You will see DESD alwayys at the top. DESD Pune has the best record of all so far.

You r frm electrical stream, thats not an issue. U can cope up wid course or not depends on ur interest. As far I have seen people frm various streams come and do well. No idea abt mumbai.
my DAC rank is 350(349 candidates are above me) and my DSSD rank is 164(163 candidate are above me)....
please guide which CDAC center should opt, my preference is DAC followed by DSSD.

My rank in A+B+C is 773. I hv applied for the courses DESD, DWiMC, DVLSI, DIVESD. Academic record wise I do not have 60% in B.Tech. ( 6.56 DGPA ) , but in 10th & 12th I have more than 70% in each.I am 2014 B Tech ECE pass out.
My questions are 1. in this rank can I get centers of CDAC like Pune/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Pune Sunbeam for the above mentioned subjects?
2. Can my B.Tech. Percentage (58%) play any negetive role in future placements?
