sir i am doing M.Tech in VLSI design and i am very intrested to join cdac so could you tell me about the cdac entrance examination? Is there any possibilty to get admitted in this institute easily without any special preparation.

Hi, i Got 1372 rank in A+B. what are the chances of getting Pune, Banglore, Hydrabad and Noida for DAC Course. Also I am Btech 2008 passed out, though i have teaching experience. will that create any problem in placement. Do companies keep some criteria like only a,b,c year passouts can apply. It depends on the companies, their need. Some companies look after that, some look experience and some look ur CDAC's performance. Depends on the requirement they have.

Good Evening Sir, I have done B.E. in EC branch and I have got 106 rank in (A+B+C) and got 730 rank in (A+B) and the position of mine for courses is like:

A+B+C category:
Above my rank 55 candidates have applied for PG-DVLSI.
Above my rank 93 candidates have applied for PG-DESD.

A+B category:
Above my rank 646 candidates have applied for PG-DAC.
Above my rank 329 candidates have applied for PG-DWiMC.
Above my rank 199 candidates have applied for PG-DITISS.
Above my rank 283 candidates have applied for PG-DSSD.

What I will get on these positions? Which Course is best for placement Opportunities? Will I get DAC or DWiMC in CDAC Pune (HQ) ?

I have searched a lot but I got mixed reactions some says PUNE is best for DESD, and some says Hyderabad is best for DESD.

So please sir, also tell me

With respect to maximum Placement Opportunity which among Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore CDAC Center (HQ) is Best for DESD Course?

Thats not unfortunate. for DSSD - HYDERABAD is best. this course is not run by CDAC PUNE. so HYD has good records. Even I did same course dude!! I had a good experience . No Cons to tell u.

Yes there is a good chance. Hope for the best!! Upto 300 we can expect for Pune. let see. You have also Sunbeam Pune and IACSD as other good options.

PUNE DESD has always been the best. You will get more options there. Keep no confusion among these two. After Pune DESD HYD is good option. Pune gives maximum placement. Hyd and Banglore are almost the same.

Besides this, you have one more query regarding which centre will u get. Unfortunately we cant say anything based on ranks, The only thing we can tell u is to see http://tech-hue.blogspot.com/2014/06/cdac-ccat-rank-which-centre-you-should.html.

At my time many companies werw there icluding honeywell, teradata, rockwell, CDAC, tech mahindra as the major ones. DSSD includes basics of engineerig and drivers, linux, cpp as specialized modules. I have workedtheir over a year at cdac hyd after doing dssd . Right now I m working for NIC, national informatics centre.

As u can see above DIVESD is not so good in terms of placemnts. I am not sure of last batch but DESD is a well established course. You can prefer it than DIVESD. You can also see a review on the basis of rank here http://tech-hue.blogspot.in/2014/06/cdacs-c-cat-admissions-to-all-pg.html

YOU should prefer embedded than VLSI. Although I cant's say abt placemtns for VLSI but still Embedded is well established.

Hi everyone! I'm a Electronics & Comm. Graduate of 2012, therefore I have a 2 year gap in my career (2012-2014). Moreover my DGPA is only 7.82 and I got 78.6% in my +2 boards, so I won't be able to fulfill any criteria requiring throughout 80% or 8 point DGPA. My question is how these factors will affect my chance of getting a good job in either Embedded Systems or VLSI domain from CDAC. Also kindly suggest me what preferences should I enter. I would prefer VLSI slightly over Embdded Systems, but I heard job prospects in Embedded Systems are far better.
My CCAT August result is :

Yes embedded is better in terms of placement than vlsi. U should see desd then dwimc then the other two if u r concermed of placements.

but sunbeam pune have not DESD.my frnd told me that last time 450 rank got admission in pune center in second seat allocation but we dont want to take risk so we are going to fill CDAC-Banglore as first preference whats your opinion ?

My rank is not good so I am looking for a centre where my chances are more to get a seat.

I have one more doubt here.
Is there any difference in terms of teaching and placement in Authorised center E.g if i get a seat in Vimarshana, Marathahalli, Bangalore wuld it be good or bad?

Please list which centres are good out of Authorised centres.
How about CDAC Trivendrm?

Vijay, if u r going to invest that muh amnt of money then u should see centre also. I think teaching does not make big difference , for eg: hyd is known to be the best as far as techin is concerned but still they blv in self dependency and do not follow spoon feeding sort of thing. So our first motto should be searching a good placememt.

Sorry we dont have info rgarding the centres u have mentioned above, nor we have any idea of tivandrum. U just try bangalore or hyd. If u r not able to get it, try next time. This is what we can suggest. Value for the money should also be taken into account.

Actualy I am 2010 passout and have one year of exp but not doing job since last 2 years.
Should I wait for next time in this case aswell?
Based on your exp what are the chances of getting Bangalore or HYD in my rank 2267.
My dwimc is 1108 and dssd 818...
So any chance of getting this year or shall I go for next time.....
Please tell me best possible way.

Chamcea r still there and u shouldsee what u r goig to get this time. Based on ranks its difficult to predict. If u has year gap thn in that case it becomes more necessary to get a good centre, my suggestion would be the same as it was. Let see if u r able to get hyd. All the best

Now I got clearity.

Please tell me how does 2nd seat allocation works as i am still confused about the process.
Do i have to pay first installment to go for 2nd allocation or if I dontselect the given seat in first go then would i be considered for 2nd seat allocation.

or if I pay then also I may get seat changed in 2nd seat allocation.

I cant suggest u to go Noida as its not really good in terms of placemnts. Its better to try next time so that u can get a good centre bcs u r gng to invest also.

CDAC would be better but see the amount of money u r gng to invest. U may get few options in Noida. If u have this rank then u can join Noida but u have to tell me more abt u. Do u have 60% through out in ur academics

Faculty wise its good but placemtns are lesser than other centres of CDAC. You can go for it. If u r geetting it,. go for it

after CDAC pune, place Sunbeam Pune, then Sunbeam Karad. These two are doing better in terms of faculty and placemtns than Bangalore KP.

I got 75% in 10th, 49% in 12th, 58% in diploma(ETC) final year and 62% in BE ETC (2014 passout)..

diploma in EEE with 69.90% in 2009(suppose to get complete in 2007-i e 2yr gap)
b.tech in EEE with 60% in 2014(suppose to get complete in 2012-i e 2yr gap)
i have 4 yrs gap in academics..but still fresher..nw wanted c-dac embedded system course during next feb 2015,however again 1yr gap..total 5yr gap..does pursuing course in c-dac offers me a good opportunity in placements because of this yr gap in academics..i am 26 d still fresher..pls suggest me some good thoughts d guide me through..thank u

Pradeep, all these things wont create much problems as u r still a fresher and that has nothing to do with the age. The only thing u need to keep in mind is to have the answers to the questions that may be asked regarding ur yr gap, abt ur failed attempts. Better to prepare yourself better against them. You are still a fresher , so all this wont go against you provided you are confident and present yourself as it is required. try to get a good centre through CCAT so that u will get ample opportunities.

Cant say about DAC, its not easy to predict. Although I can suggest u to join this course. Although DITISS has not that much placemnts as DAC have but bangalore Ecity will give u ample options.

Thats good. DSSD from HYD is a very good choice and is performing well since last few years. I did DSSD from HYD only and thats why I can suggest you to go for it. All the best!

Saurav, if u have 60% throught then there would b no problem I think. You can join it. Although the placemnts are not much like Pune centres but the faculty is much more better than Pune and u will get enough options. I suggest you to go for it.

Yes, bangalore is slightly better except DSSD. DSSD is good in HYD only. But cant say rigidly anything as it depends on many other factors like batch, IT related conditions etc.

If I arrange courses placemnt wise, then DAC, DSSD, DWIMC, and then DITISS. Dont think much abt it. You have 60% through out and you should go for it. Also, bangalore KP is the only better option I am saying, otherwise DAC HYD is very good.

DSSD is best in hyd Nitesh but if u have less than 60 perc which will cut off many options but I think u will get many in the end. So dont worry abt that. Just go ahead Nitesh!!

DAC and DABC are almost the same but the content of DAC course is more generic. DAC has also got better records in terms of placements. HYD DAC is also good but not like PUNE and BAnglore (Knowledge Park). If you have 60 perc throughout then only I can suggest u to join CDAC HYD for DAC.

being an electrical student does not mean u should not go for enbedded or software field. It just depends on your interest and ability to grab things. Its clear you have to do some more work than others but U still can do better than others. There are three Centres who Conduct VLSI courses , CDAC Pune ,CDAC Soft Polynomials, Nagpur and CDAC TICA Mumbai,. As there is Less Placement opportunity in VLSI , and if you want to Learn VLSI nothing else
Then the only option you have is CDAC pune.....

I got C-dac hyderabad in 1st round for DESD.My rank for it is 514.
Should I wait for 2 nd round for C-dac Pune or Sunbeam-pune?
Also I am 2014 pass out but I have 86.61% in 10th ,75.33% i 12th and 64.5% in graduation , and no year gap in between , can I get good placement?
