The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 series recently made its appearance on the company’s website in India along with prices for the 8-inch and 10.1-inch variants. The two models are now available for purchase online for Rs 23,490 and Rs 29,750, respectively.
Just so you know, the slates are being offered by Flipkart and not Samsung. Both devices are listed on the eStore, but are still to be made available. Also, the prices on the online retailer are slightly lower than the official tags which stand at Rs 23,960 for the 8-inch Galaxy Tab 4 and Rs 30,498 for the 10.1-inch model. Both devices come with cellular support and have voice calling with HSPA+ compatibility.
As you’ve probably realized by now, there’s still no sign of the 7-inch version and we have reason to believe that the slate’s launch might be delayed to clear up inventory of the current 7-inch voice calling tablets, namely the Tab 3 Neo and 211. The 8-inch and 10.1-inch devices have various common features. The main difference is the screen size and battery capacity which is 4450mAh and 6800mAh, respectively.
Here are the common specs:
- Android 4.4 KitKat
- 1280 x 800p LCD display
- 1.5GB RAM
- 16GB internal storage, 64GB expandable
- 3MP rear camera, 1.3MP front snapper
- HSPA+, voice calling, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, GLONASS
